Viva began her performing career in San Francisco at age seven,
singing show tunes with her mother in the San Francisco Theater
underground. Viva, the product of an Italian American mother
and African-American father has had musical interests as varied
and mixed as her ethnic and cultural background.
In her early teens she performed with Le Miz, an all female,
Broadway musical review, as well as many small choirs and ensembles.
In her late teens, Viva put her musical interests aside to pursue
a film and television acting career. She made guest appearances
in such shows as "Fresh Prince of Bel Air", "A
Different World" and "Cop Rock".
Viva has just recently rediscovered her joy and passion for
music, returning to the pursuit of music and performing live
Viva's greatest delight and solace comes from classic soul,
blues, jazz and funk. "One of my deepest passions is listening
to fantastic live music. Being able to sing and perform is
just an extension of the energy and bliss I receive from listening.
Listening is everything."
