Alluring and equally talented, Aisha Shillingford was born in Toronto, Canada. Aisha began singing at age 5 in church and school. Aisha has won several awards in School for her dedication, leadership and ability in music. Her fondest memories were singing in gospel choir Expression of Praise throughout her teen years. The energetic youth choir recorded the album entitled To Whom It May Concern which is still on sale today. Between 8 years in a very actively performing/touring church choir, performing and studying vocal in school, her father’s (a musician himself for 30 yrs) endless collection of jazz, Latin, old-school-soul and Caribbean rhythms, and of course the love of music and performance, Aisha is well suited for the career she has chosen.

In the past, Aisha delighted audiences at the Kiwanis Music Festival, The Oakville Jazz festival, Red Cross Fundraisers, Toronto Anti Drug March and other festivals across North America. She has shared the stage with Juno Award Winning Artists Sharon Riley and Faith Coral, Ray Robinson, Belinda Bradey, Lazo and Sonia Collimore; Grammy award winning gospel artist Fred Hammond among others. Recently Aisha has worked alongside jazz variety group Cold Sweat Band.

Over the past 3 years Aisha has performed in 5 star hotels across Asia, Middle East and Africa with various ensembles. Aisha has been commended on her ability to earnestly perform a broad range of music for just about any crowd. She has a smooth, soulful, jazzy-R&B sound, which is relevant to today’s music and the music of the past.

With a unique but classic persona, an undeniably beautiful voice, and a whole heartedness that can’t be duplicated, Aisha will continue to touch and inspire audiences around the world through music.
